WELCOME TO SUMMER SCHOOL!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are so excited to welcome your children to summer school starting Monday, June 8th! Schedules will be sent home June 1st, but you can also currently see the schedule in Skyward. Please send the printed schedule with your child on the first day of summer school.

Here are some additional details about the upcoming Summer School session.

Summer School Dates and Times:

  • Dates: Monday, June 8th through Thursday, June 25th
  • Days: Monday through Thursday
  • Time: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • Location: Elementary, Middle, and High School buildings (All drop-offs and pick-ups at the Elementary School except for students in the musical (see below).) Students with classes at the Middle or High School will be walked there and back.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Attendance:
  • Attendance is taken each hour. If your child will be absent, leaving early, or arriving late, please call the Elementary Office at 920-532-4818.

Emergency Medications:
  • If your child requires an inhaler or epi-pen, please ensure they have it with them at all times.

Snacks:
  • Students can bring a snack to eat between classes. Snacks will not be provided, and there will be no designated snack time.

Schedules:
  • Room numbers are listed on your child’s schedule. Please ensure your child brings a copy of their schedule for the first week of Summer School.

Breakfast & Lunch: 
  • Breakfast: Available from 7:40 am to 8:05 am.
  • Lunch: Will be sent home with students each day if they request it. Students will be asked each morning if they are taking hot lunch. Please ensure there is money in your child's lunch account to cover the cost of meals.
ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL

  Drop Off:
  • Bus Drop Off: In the parking lot behind the staff parking lot. No parent parking in this area.
  • Parent Drop Off (AM ONLY): Location is at the back of the school on the drive off Fair St. (old bus circle). Starts at 7:40 am (no earlier). Parents must stay in the car and turn right out of the parking lot.
  • Parent Walk-Up Drop-Off: Park in the school parking lot across from Dick’s Family Foods. Starts at 7:40 am (no earlier). Walk students to the sidewalk by the bus drop off area. Students will walk to the playground using the sidewalk. Students must not be left unattended in the parking lot.
  Pick Up:
  • Bus Pick-Up: Combined bus parking lot for Elementary and Middle School. No parent parking in this area.
  • Parent Pick-Up: Park in the parking lot across from Dick’s Family Foods. Use the entrance across from Dick’s and exit closest to the Elementary office. Dismissal is at 12:00 pm. Park and walk to the concrete space in front of the building to wait for your child to be dismissed.
Supervision:
  • Supervision will not be available until 7:40 am. Students will remain outside on the playground until the bell rings at 8:00 am unless they are eating breakfast.

Communication:
  • We will be using Parent Square to send out additional summer school information. Please watch your notifications from Parent Square to make sure you see all summer school updates. If you have any questions, please reach out to the elementary office.
Fallen Timbers:
  • If you signed your child up for Fallen Timbers, you will be able to see the registration in Skyward and on the printed schedule that will be coming home. 
  • Incoming 1st-2nd graders will be going during the first week of summer school, June 8th-11th. 
  • Incoming 3rd-5th graders will be going during the second week, June 15th-18th. 
  • Please send lunch with your child or plan to have him/her get a hot lunch.
  • The bus bringing students to Fallen Timbers will leave directly from the elementary school at 12:15 and will arrive back at the elementary school at 3:00. Please be prompt in picking up your child. Please reference the letter that corresponds with the week your child will be attending Fallen Timbers:


Musical Students:
  • If your child is participating in the musical, class is taking place entirely at the high school. 
  • Drop off and pick up for students in the musical can be done by the WHS Gym doors. 
  • If your child is taking the bus, it will get them to the high school. All students will be bused to the elementary school, and students in the musical will be put on one bus and then driven over to the high school. They will be picked up on one bus after musical practice, brought to the elementary school, and divided on to the correct bus to bring them home.
