BOARD OF EDUCATION
Our school board is dedicated to fostering an environment where every student can achieve academic excellence and personal growth in a safe and supportive setting.
As elected representatives of our community, we are committed to making informed decisions that shape the future of our schools. Our responsibilities include:
- Policy Development: Crafting and implementing policies that promote high educational standards and equity.
- Budget Oversight: Ensuring that financial resources are allocated efficiently and effectively to support student learning and well-being.
- Superintendent Supervision: Collaborating with and providing oversight for the Superintendent to ensure the district's strategic goals are met.
- Curriculum and Instruction: Evaluating and approving curricula that meet the diverse needs of our students and prepare them for future success.
- Facilities Management: Overseeing the maintenance and improvement of school facilities to provide a safe and conducive learning environment.
- Community Engagement: Encouraging active participation from parents, students, teachers, and community members to foster a collaborative educational community.

We deliver a high-quality academic program to every child to assure their success as a life-long learner and offer exceptional co-curricular and fine arts opportunities to create and sustain learning outside of the classroom.

The budget is developed with the students, classroom, and building departments as the primary focus. Staff involvement is critical to ensure dollars are prioritized for students first.

An annual audit, by the auditing firm KerberRose, has demonstrated compliance to all state laws and accepted accounting practices for over 25 years in a row.

The 2026 Spring Election of School Board members will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2025.
If a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
Notice of School Board Election
In order to run for a school board you must hand in the following documents:
- Campaign Finance Registration Statement [CF-1L]
- Declaration of Candidacy [EL-162sd]
- WCSD does not require the circulation of Nomination Papers
Candidacy documents must be filed no later than 5PM, on January 6, 2026 at the School’s District Office: 351 High Street, Wrightstown, WI 54180, (920) 532-5551. Once filed, a declaration may not be withdrawn 120.06 (7) (a).
Any current board members who do not plan to seek re-election must file a Notification of Noncandidacy by 5PM on December 26, 2025.

Please note: The District Office will be closed December 24-25, 2025 for Christmas and December 31-January 1, 2026 for New Years. Regular business hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30AM - 4PM. **The office will be open until the 5PM deadline on Tuesday, January 6, 2025, for acceptance of candidacy documents.

School Board Meeting (Regular Meeting):
- Purpose: Conducts official district business, including voting on policies and other actionable items, budgets, contracts, and other key decisions.
- Frequency: Scheduled regularly (Monthly).
- Outcome: Official decisions are made, and votes are recorded in meeting minutes. Per board policy, regular meetings are the only meetings required to be streamed and recorded.
School Board Workshop:
- Purpose: Provides an informal setting for in-depth discussions, presentations, or training on specific topics (e.g., strategic planning, policy review).
- Frequency: Scheduled as needed.
- Outcome: Often no formal decisions are made.
Special School Board Meeting:
- Purpose: Addresses urgent or time-sensitive issues that cannot wait until the next regular meeting.
- Frequency: Called as needed, often on short notice.
- Outcome: Official actions can be taken, similar to regular meetings, or they can be informational only.
