The WHS Sources of Strength Color Blaze Run is a vibrant, community-focused fundraising event hosted by the Wrightstown High School (WHS) Sources of Strength (SOS) campaign.
This fun, non-competitive 2-mile run/walk kicks off the annual Wrightstown Fall Festival and is all about getting covered in brightly colored, non-toxic corn starch powder as participants move along the course. It serves as a creative and energetic way for the community to rally together to raise funds for the WCSD's Christmas Meals for Adopt-A-Family Program and various SOS Campaigns aimed at promoting wellness and suicide prevention among students.
The event features pre-race activities and an after-party atmosphere, making it a highly anticipated and colorful tradition in the Wrightstown community.

The Wrightstown Community School District (WCSD) annually collaborates with the Village of Wrightstown Police Department to host the National Night Out event, reinforcing its commitment to community safety and positive neighborhood relations. This yearly campaign takes place on the first Tuesday in August and is celebrated across thousands of communities nationwide.
The District's Role
The WCSD's primary involvement is providing the central venue for the successful, large-scale event, often utilizing the grounds and facilities of the Wrightstown Elementary School. By doing so, the district helps create a welcoming and familiar atmosphere for students, parents, and community members to engage with first responders.Past Event Highlights
As a free family event, the WCSD's participation helps ensure a night of fun and essential public service interaction. In the past, the event has included:- Emergency Vehicle Displays: Opportunities for families to get up close with Police, Fire, and EMS vehicles (often called "Touch A Truck").
- Safety Demonstrations: Including popular Police K-9 demonstrations and child fingerprinting stations.
- Family Entertainment: Such as live music, bounce houses, face painting, and a dunk tank.
- Community Connection: A chance to connect with local police officers, first responders, and neighbors to promote a safer, more caring community.
The successful, large turnout each year highlights the strong and positive partnership between the WCSD, the Police Department, and the residents of Wrightstown.
