Wrightstown, WI - The Wrightstown Community School District Board of Education is pleased to announce the selection of Mr. Dirk Ribbens as the district’s next Superintendent. Mr. Ribbens currently serves as Principal of Ashwaubenon High School and brings more than 30 years of experience in education, including leadership roles as a principal, associate principal, and classroom teacher.
As principal of Ashwaubenon High School since 2019, Mr. Ribbens has led a school of approximately 1,000 students and has focused on strengthening instructional practices, building collaborative professional learning communities, and expanding pathways for student success. His leadership has included initiatives focused on grade and assessment reform, alternate pathways to graduation, and strengthening connections between school and community partners.
Prior to serving as principal, Mr. Ribbens spent more than a decade as Associate Principal at Ashwaubenon High School, where he helped lead the implementation of Professional Learning Communities (PLC), developed intervention systems to support struggling students, and helped redesign programming for at-risk students. He also played a key role in strengthening school safety procedures, improving instructional practices, and supporting staff development.
Mr. Ribbens holds an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Lawrence University. He is licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction as a Superintendent, Principal, and Director of Instruction.

The Wrightstown Community School District Board of Education, in partnership with CESA 7, conducted a comprehensive search process and is confident that Mr. Ribbens’ leadership experience, commitment to student success, and dedication to community partnerships will help guide the district forward. The Board is excited to welcome Mr. Ribbens to the Wrightstown community and looks forward to partnering with him to support students, families, and staff across the district.
