Interested in being a SUBSTITUTE TEACHER at Wrightstown
Are you interested in helping out at school? Do you like working with children? Do you have a bachelor’s degree? Are you a retiree looking for something to do a couple days a week? Would you like to earn $115 per day? We have the perfect job for you….Be a substitute teacher for the Wrightstown Community School District!
Wisconsin is facing a shortage of teachers. While Wrightstown Schools has not currently been faced with that shortage in attracting amazing educators in our classrooms when we have vacancies, we are seeing the shortage of teachers reflected in our availability of substitute teachers. We need good, caring people to work with our students when their regular teacher is out sick or on leave. If you are interested, please contact Marian Kaufman at (920)532-5551 or firstname.lastname@example.org or
apply through WECAN.
Our 8th graders are attending an event called "Find your Inspiration, Exploring Careers of Greater Green Bay" sponsored by Greater Green Bay Chamber and Partners in Education on October 13th, 2016. The event will take place at Green Bay's KI Center. The event is a hands-on career exploration day for 8th grade students in Greater Green Bay. The purpose of the event is to expose students to careers available locally and to demonstrate what each career involves through an interactive, engaging series of activities. Over 4,000 local 8th grade students will be taking advantage of this great learning opportunity!
All 8th grade students/parents are encouraged to sign up for a Planning Conference by calling the WMS office at 532-5553. This will be a one-to-one session with our middle school counselor. It will be held during the day with a parent or guardian and will address high school classes, expectations, and answer any questions that you or your child may have. We will also be reviewing your child's strengths and possible future career interests. (Plan on 30-45 minutes.)

The Department of Public Instruction requires school districts to keep a count of how many students ride our school buses during the school year. Because we receive state aid on each student that is transported, it is important to have an accurate record of student busing. We appreciate your taking the time to fill out this form.
Fill out and return a paper copy to the school office

please contact Carla Buboltz, District Administrator–532-5551.

Great things happen in the Wrightstown Community School District every day!
To help us share a few of our success stories, Wrightstown Community Schools participated in a regional initiative called ‘My Public School Experience.’ It was a collaborative effort by FOX 11, Bellin Health, and CESA 7 to tell public school success stories. For the initiative, we had to choose three students and three programs to highlight. With over 1300 students and 150 staff members who have success stories to share ….narrowing it down was very difficult! Thank you to the students, parents, alumni, and teachers who helped make ‘My Public School Experience’ a success for our schools.
Wrightstown Middle School spotlights Georgia Mobley and her success story with the drama and music opportunities at WMS.
These longer videos will be narrowed down into 50 second commercials which will be aired this spring and fall on Fox 11 during Good Day Wisconsin and FOX 11 news at 5:00 and 9:00. We hope you enjoy the three success stories that are shared; know that success stories like these happen every day in every classroom for our students!

TWO GOLDEN APPLE AWARD WINNERS
AT WRIGHTSTOWN SCHOOLS
Ashley Post, Kindergarten Teacher
Travis Schuh, Grade 6 Teacher
Today, the Wrightstown Community School District was honored to have not one, but two of our teachers be presented Golden Apple Awards! Travis Schuh (Grade 6 ELA) and Ashley Post (Kindergarten) are two of the six award winners selected by the panel of judges as Golden Apple winners. Congratulations to Ashley and Travis! We are so thankful for their dedication to our students, schools, and community!
Ashley and Travis were nominated for the Golden Apple Award several months ago by students or parents for their exceptional commitment to education. They completed a rigorous application process and were selected to represent WES and WMS in the next level of the process. In January, Travis and Ashley were chosen as 2 of the 12 Teachers of Distinction in the county-wide process. Both participated in an interview at the end of February with business and educational leaders from UWGB, St. Norbert College, NWTC, Schreiber Foods, and other area businesses. Today, Fox 11 surprised Ashley and Travis with visits to their classrooms to present them the prestigious awards. The surprise visits will be on Fox 11 tonight at 5:00. They will be honored at the Golden Apple Award Gala on Wednesday, April 20.
Ashley and Travis are great representatives for all of the amazing things that happen in all of our schools! They represent the 100+ educators, administrators and staff members who make a difference for our students every day! We are very fortunate as a school district to have dedicated, committed educators focused on providing a quality education for every student and supporting excellence in student achievement!
It’s always a great day to be a TIGER; some days are even better than others!
