Course Description
Students will continue with proper keyboarding techniques spending 5-7 minutes each session working on speed drills. Students will also continue building their speed on the numeric keys using the Ten-Key Trainer program. Students will create two presentation projects (one using PowerPoint, the other using Moviemaker) involving scanning images, using a digital camera, as well as a camcorder.
Objective of PowerPoint Project: Create a presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint about themselves. Describe three things about yourself, two of which are true and one that is false. Your objective is to fool as many classmates as possible. The presentation should be a minimum of ten slides: a title slide, an objective slide, three separate slides describing things about yourself (2 true and 1 false), present all three things about yourself again on one slide asking the audience if they were able to figure out the lie, "and the lie is..." slide, a slide that tells the audience which is the lie, a thank you slide, and an ending slide. Use the rubric link below to view the rubric explaining all of the other requirements.
Objective of Moviemaker Project: Create a presentation using Windows Movie Maker on any topic of interest to you in which you can motivate and/or inspire others or in which you pay tribute to someone. Samples of similar projects can be found at the following link:
