Wrightstown Summer School Descriptions, 2017
Week One - June 12-16, 2017
12:30-3:00 PM, Monday- Friday
The students attending this session will have fun exploring the wonderful world of birds at Fallen Timbers, including designing their own set of wings! Students will investigate how feathers, nests, food, and much more, make birds special and interesting. Through the use of their senses and role-playing activities, students will learn many new things about the birds found right out our back door. This session is recommended for children who have recently completed Kindergarten and First Grade.
Week Two - June 19-23, 2017
12:30-3:00 PM, Monday-Friday
The students attending this session will investigate and learn about the outdoors through exciting hands-on activities and games. Students will explore “Life on the Edge” of many different ecosystems and habitats including the meadow, forest and pond. Students will also enjoy some favorite Fallen Timbers activities including the pond study, sweep netting, and a campfire! This session is recommended for children who have recently completed Second and/or Third grade.
Week Three - June 26-29, 2017
12:30-3:00 PM, Monday-Friday
The students attending this session will gain useful knowledge and strengthen their outdoor skills. Focusing on team building, orienteering, and outdoor skills, students will sharpen their aptitude for navigating and problem solving with each other at Fallen Timbers. Students will also enjoy some favorite Fallen Timbers activities including shelter building, canoe basics, and a campfire! This session is recommended for children who have recently completed Fourth and/or Fifth grade.
