Friend of Wrightstown FBLA
The Friend of Wrightstown FBLA award is an annual award given to an individual/business that goes above and beyond in its support of Wrightstown's FBLA club.

Kayla Westphal (right), President of Wrightstown Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), presented the 2018-19 Friend of Wrightstown FBLA Award to Mike & Amy Koel. The Koels were chosen for a variety of reasons. First, their generous financial support of the Wrightstown FBLA club over the years, which has been very helpful in allowing the club to run its Annual Senior Citizens/Grandparents Christmas Party and send students to National FBLA. Secondly, over the past four years they've put together generous baskets as prizes for the annual Christmas party, which assures that the FBLA club continues to provide a quality event to the senior citizens and grandparents of the community. Thirdly, their family has always been very supportive of the Wrightstown FBLA program. This was especially evident this past year when Mike saw to it that Wrightstown FBLA club worked together with his employer to provide an entry for the Partnership with a Business Project event. Fourth, their two high school aged children, are very active in the club.

Josh Verhagen (right), President of Wrightstown Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), presented the 2017-18 Friend of Wrightstown FBLA Award to his parents, Craig & Tammy Verhagen. The Verhagens were chosen for a variety of reasons. First, their generous financial support of the Wrightstown FBLA club over the years, which has been very helpful in allowing the club to run its Annual Senior Citizens/Grandparents Christmas Party and send students to National FBLA. Secondly, their family has always been very supportive of the Wrightstown FBLA programs, especially their willingness to chaperone for State FBLA. Thirdly, their two children, Josh and Hannah, were active in the club. Josh took a very active role in the club and served as the club president.

Mark Diny, President of Wrightstown Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), presented the 2016-17 Friend of Wrightstown FBLA Award to John & Sharon Westphal. The Westphals were chosen for their support of Wrightstown FBLA over the years, especially their willingness to chaperone cub competitive events at the regional, state, and national level. They are/were also willing to assist the club adviser with a variety of activities. Also, their two children, Travis and Kayla, are/were very active in the club.

Carly Eggert, President of Wrightstown Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), presented the 2015-16 Friend of Wrightstown FBLA Award to Carla Buboltz, Superintendent of Wrightstown School District. Mrs. Buboltz was chosen for her support at the administrative level of Wrightstown’s FBLA club over the years. She was also chosen for her help at the annual holiday party the past five years where she emcees the bingo games.

Reynders Dairy was chosen for a variety of reasons. First, their generous financial support of the Wrightstown FBLA club over the years, which has been very helpful in allowing the club to run its Annual Senior Citizens/Grandparents Christmas Party. Secondly, their family has always been very supportive of the Wrightstown FBLA program by Theresa’s willingness to always help out. Thirdly, two of Mike & Theresa’s daughters, Erin and Rachel, were very active in Wrightstown’s FBLA club.

Bruce & Deborah Gilles were chosen as the 2013-14 Friend of Wrightstown FBLA for their very generous financial support to Wrightstown FBLA over the years. Their donations have made it possible for many of our members to attend FBLA Nationals without having to ask the community for donations.

The Nelson Machine & Welding was recognized as the 2012-2013 Friend of Wrightstown Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) club. Bonnie Draxler, Wrightstown FBLA’s Club President, presented the award to Terri Jolly, Jenny Zastrow, and Tina Watermolen of Nelson Machine & Welding. Nelson Machine & Welding was recognized for its very generous financial support of the Wrightstown FBLA club over the years. Nelson Machine & Welding’s donations have made it possible for the club to send members to compete at FBLA Nationals and hold its annual FBLA Senior Citizen/Grandparents Christmas Party. Nelson Machine & Welding is located at 1206 Parkview Rd on the West side of Green Bay. It specializes in C.N.C. machining, general machining, steel fabricators, portable welding, and waterjet cutting.

The J. J. Keller Foundation was recognized as the 2011-2012 Friend of Wrightstown Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) club. Cameron O’Connell, Wrightstown FBLA’s Public Relations Officer, presented the award to, Robert L Keller, Chairman of the J. J. Keller Foundation. The J. J. Keller Foundation was recognized for its very generous financial support of the Wrightstown FBLA club that made it possible for three of its members to attend FBLA Nationals in Orlando, Florida this past summer.
The J. J. Keller Foundation’s primary mission is to provide funding to organizations, projects and programs that will positively impact lives in the greater Fox Valley community. The focus population is homeless and disadvantaged individuals, the elderly, and children and youth. The Foundation was formed by John J. “Jack” Keller in 1991 in celebration of his wife Ethel’s 70th birthday. With the subsequent passing of both Jack and Ethel, the family has continued the Keller legacy of giving, and more than $30 million has been given to 300+ community organizations as a result.
