Dear Wrightstown Community School District Residents,
Thank you for supporting student and community health and wellness by approving the addition of a Student and Community Wellness Center at Wrightstown High School!
We are very excited to begin the process of making this a reality for our community. Thank you for your willingness to enter into this great partnership with the school district; it has the potential to positively impact our entire community!
Over the next several months our District building committee will be refining the Wellness Center design, creating construction documents, determining a construction manager through a bid and interview process, and securing competitive bids for all aspects of the project, with the hopes of breaking ground in March or April. We are also beginning work with the District financial planners to determine the best time to borrow the dollars necessary to complete the Wellness Center. We are committed to being very good stewards of the dollars you have approved for this project.
We will continue to keep the community informed of the process through the newspaper, the District webpage, and the Tiger Tough Facebook page. As the Wellness Center gets closer to completion, we will also be asking the community for feedback on the types of programs you’d like to see offered and the hours you would use the center. Your input is critical as we look to have the Student and Community Wellness Center open by December 2017.
Thank you to the Steering Committee Co-Chairs, Mary Bartel and Diane Roundy, and the entire steering committee and information committee for helping assure voters were informed of the referendum and the potential benefits to all taxpayers and school district students. This initiative could not have happened without their time, dedication and commitment to inform voters and improve community health and wellness.
